Embroidered lace, ruffles, micro pleating and even covered satin buttons, this 1950s "Carmen" wedding dress has everything you could want! Bodice is delicately embroidered organdy with squared edged boatneck, very fitted with a deep V front and buttons all the way down the back. Long sleeves are lined with sheer fabric and end with a point at the wrist and three button closure. The dreamy sheer skirt has a heavily embroidered centre and sides that are gathered in pleats and finished with a bow, the back is elegant tiers of gorgeous lace and micro pleats. One layer of off white acetate liner and underneath that a tiered crinoline for maximum volume. We have photographed the dress with a hoop crinoline underneath as well - it would have even more volume if it was a floor length hoop - this one was just a bit short for the dress.
In very good vintage condition. There is one broken button that could be replaced by one of the buttons from the sleeve - there are three buttons on each sleeve and I have more than once, cut the button and loop farthest from the cuff off and used it elsewhere on a dress.
*There is an extra inch in the seam allowance but I also want to tell you about another alternative to INCREASE THE SIZE OF THIS DRESS: - I often open the back of the dress up by taking off the buttons, creating a V in the back the whole length of the dress and putting in a corset back - So easy and you can get a few more inches everywhere!
Measurements:
Bust: 32” (there is also a comfortable inch to let out in the seam allowance)

Waist: 24” (there is also a comfortable inch to let out in the seam allowance)

Shoulder to drop waist: 16”
Under arm to waist: 8.5"
Shoulder to shoulder: 14.5"
Shoulder to point: 24”
Skirt Length: 44.5”
