1960s Gauzy Halter Dress, Red and White Plaid Summer Halter Dress, Size S

Pretty gauzy halter dress, perfect for summer. The fabric is a very light gauzy cotton or cotton blend. It is fully lined with a crisp cool fabric that is more than likely an acetate. The skirt has an interesting construction design that does not have a side seam but is cut in one piece that joins at the back seam. It zips up the back with a metal zipper and ties at the back of the neck. The front of the bodice has princess seams for a closer fit to the body and the skirt has just a little gathering at the hips and at the center back that allow for a little ease in around the hips. The ruffles around the neckline and hem make it a little flirty and a lot of fun! There is no tag and it looks like it could have been home made by a very good seamstress.
